Serge, The 220V motor will be more powerful then an equivalent 110V motor, less prone to overheating, will last longer and, is probably cheaper to run Yes, it will cost more initialy to get an electrician to run a line to the garage but, in the long run, this cost will be paid back by savings on the power bill
